Carolina Nikaedo
psychologist
I am an expat and working mother living in Luxembourg since 2014.
I am a psychologist, who has walked the entire academic trajectory: I obtained a Master's in Developmental Disorders (2007), a Doctorate in Cognitive Neuroscience (2015), and a Postdoc in Multilingualism (2018).
Throughout my 20 years of professional experience, I’ve been passionate about combining theory and practical tools across different fields. I have worked as a Faculty Lecturer, Business consultant, Mentor, School counsellor in Inclusion, and clinical psychologist.
For eight years, I worked on child development projects at the University of Luxembourg, and more recently, I have been facilitating women’s groups in corporate settings.
Additionally, I contribute to scientific outreach projects, sharing evidence-based knowledge and tools on mental health for everyday life.
I specialize in supporting adults navigating life transitions, including:
- parenthood, especially as an expat, and returning to work after a career break,
- relocating to a new country, career transitions, and work-life balance challenges,
- rethinking life in midlife, including menopause and personal reinvention.
My practice is rooted in Cognitive Neuroscience and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach, and I also provide parenting coaching to support families through different stages of childhood and adolescence.
